MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer-and our people are driving that transformation.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>MP Materials is seeking a hands-on Industrial Mechanic to be an integral part of maintaining and operating a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to have a vital role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and helping to define the future of American manufacturing. The new facility will contain a broad range of chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal processes, including high temperature chemistry, handling of molten metals, powder metallurgy, machining, and assembly. The Maintenance Technician reports to our Facilities and Maintenance Manager.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. </li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime. </li><li>Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies. </li><li>Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. </li><li>Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements. </li><li>Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed. </li><li>Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting. </li><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. </li><li>Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required. </li></ul> <p>MP Materials is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
