<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CT Licensed Physical Therapist to join our Related Services team to work within EASTCONN's Schools during summer programming.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, ensuring the highest quality of care and support. This role requires a deep understanding of pediatric physical therapy, the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for promoting the well-being and development of children.</p> <p>Individuals experienced working with low incident populations are encouraged to apply (Autism, Multiple Disabilities, etc.)</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans. </li><li>Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and overall physical function. </li><li>Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to students' development. </li><li>Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes. </li><li>Provide guidance and support to teachers and caregivers, offering strategies to facilitate students' participation and engagement in school activities. </li><li>Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of education plans that address students' specific needs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Connecticut state license to practice physical therapy. </li><li>Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting. </li><li>Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy techniques and interventions. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team. </li><li>A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric physical therapy. </li></ul> <p>We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p> <p>At EASTCONN, we believe that diversity is key to our success.
