<p>Classroom Floater</p> <p>Head Start</p> <p>Southern Region</p> <p>Full-time (30 Hours per week) Part Year</p> <p>General Responsibility: Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for children ages 3-5.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities: Assisting in providing classroom coverage where needed. Providing an environment that is socially and emotionally supportive to children and their families. Assisting the teaching staff, as directed, in conducting daily, age-appropriate activities for the children. Helping with the necessary steps to implementing mealtime. Eating with and assisting children in the development of social and self-help skills and sound nutritional practices. Giving assistance to the teaching staff, as directed, in preparing, setting up, conducting and cleaning up daily, age-appropriate activities for the children.</p> <p>Qualifications: Associates Degree Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Preschool CDA. Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.</p> <p>Special Qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age. Become CPR/First Aid certified with the first 2 months of hire. 1-2 years of preschool experience preferred. Must be able to work in a team environment with staff and families, be creative, and have good communication and leadership skills.
