We foster a culture that promotes fairness and diversity, and provides equal opportunities throughout the organization.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Legal Officer to oversee our Legal Division to join our Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and manage risk to protect the company's interests domestically and internatonally. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Legal and EHS departments, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.• Strategic Advice: Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team and field leaders on operational business decisions and initiatives. • Company Growth: Support the company's growth and expansion plans with legal guidance in M&A transactions.• Litigation Management: Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including working with external counsel as needed. Develop strategies to minimize litigation risks.• Legal Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance.• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. Develop and support Risk Leadership in risk management strategies to protect the company's assets and reputation.• Corporate Governance: Advise the executive team on corporate governance matters. Ensure the company's governance practices are in line with best practices and legal requirements.• Privacy Compliance: Ensure compliance with various evolving data privacy laws as they relate to guests, prospective guests, employees, vendors, service providers and other partners. • Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements. Ensure all contracts are legally sound and protect the company's interests. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Admission to the bar in the state of Colorado.• Minimum of 15 years' experience practicing law, with at least 10 years in an in-house senior leadership role.• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience handling a wide variety of matters including litigation, risk management, employment law, transactions, governance and compliance.• Deep understanding of business operations and the ability to translate legal complexities into business guidance to a cross-functional teams.• Experience in hospitality or travel industries is highly preferred.• Proven track record of leading and managing a legal department in a corporate setting.• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and who exercises good judgment.• Strong executive presence and team collaboration skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION: The base salary range for this position is $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 based on experience.</p> <p>BENEFITS: For full-time employees, Xanterra offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision; HSA & FSA; Life & Disability; Accident, Hospital & Critical Illness; Pet Insurance; PTO and paid Holidays; 401(k) with Company Match; Employee Assistance Plan; Education Assistance; RTD-Denver transit pass for in-office employees, and Employee Discounts & Travel Deals.</p> <p>EEO: Xanterra is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
