<ul> <li>THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION - Not Eligible for Benefits - Adult Youth - Ages 18 - 24 yrs.* </li></ul> <p>This is a seasonal position with Metro Action Commission's Summer Food Program. This position is responsible for preparing and providing quality food and service during the eight-week summer lunch program. Performs related duties as required.</p> <p>This position starts May 27, 2025 and ends August 1, 2025 </p> <p>Work Hours:  Monday - Friday 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of daily breakfast and lunch for summer lunch program </li><li>Assist in developing and reviewing daily/weekly food service menu </li><li>Assist in assembling and distributing nutritional meals as coordinated by Nutrition Coordinator </li><li>Assist with cleaning and sanitation of service area </li><li>Assist in organizing, sorting and labeling meals per site as required </li><li>Understand nutritional needs of (disadvantaged) children </li><li>Responsible for monitoring and reporting equipment malfunctions </li><li>Responsible for understanding, adhering and preparing quality food based on the standards and procedures of temperature controls during food preparation </li><li>Understand menus and pre-package distribution of foods </li><li>Maintain high standards of sanitation in kitchen and serving areas </li><li>Demonstrate positive and professional work habits </li><li>Assume other job related duties as requested </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver License</p> <p>Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078.
