We're focused on building a team that values excellence, making a meaningful impact on our schools and community.</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION:</p> <ul> <li>The attendance secretary will maintain accurate attendance records for the campus and perform data entry to ensure proper funding is received from the state for each student. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collect and enter attendance and data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Enroll new students and re-enroll returning students</p> </li><li> <p>Manage student withdrawal from school</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist parents, students and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator and attendance supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain custody information and inform school officials of parenting plans or pertinent custody information as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Compile, maintain, file and distribute all reports, records and other documents as required following established procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain student database for assigned campus and correct errors when needed to ensure proper funding is received from the state for each student.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in campus office as needed and follow appropriate safety protocols when working in the front office.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide the attendance supervisor with documents and reports as needed for truancy court, family meetings, truancy processes, legal matters, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned by the principal.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of High School Diploma</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, school billing operating system</p> </li><li> <p>General office skills</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibit good public relations on telephone and in greeting office visitors</p> </li></ul> <p>DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic, complex environment and organize time and workload effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of staff and vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to effectively perform job duties with minimum supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated problem solving and time management abilities</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting</p> </li><li> <p>Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds);</p> </li><li> <p>Work with frequent interruptions</p> </li></ul> <p>Franklin Special School District Pay Scale</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement</p> <p>Franklin Special District (FSD) is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
