<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As the SWC Chaplain, you will provide religious/spiritual services to the people supported by SWC in an interfaith manner. This position provides regularly scheduled services, instruction, and guidance for individuals with intellectual disabilities.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is between $27.50 and $34.34, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.</p> <p>Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is in pay schedule and range 12/64.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.</p> <p>All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.</p> <p>DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. DHS is not an E-Verify employer nor a STEM-OPT eligible employer.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have both of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Documentation or a letter of endorsement from an authority representing a faith community (uploaded in the 'Supporting Documentation' section of the job application). </li><li>Experience administering religious/spiritual programs including interfaith services and study groups (e.g., scheduling, coordinating staff/volunteers and resources, record keeping, etc.). </li></ul> <p>Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience adapting services to meet the needs of those with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. </li><li>Experience providing pastoral/spiritual ministry/support to individuals or families who may be in distress or crisis including end of life support. </li><li>Experience structuring interfaith religious study curriculum for varying levels of comprehension. </li></ul> <p>You must attach both a resume and documentation or letter of endorsement (uploaded in the 'Supporting Documentation' section of the job application) to be considered.
