We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>employee retiring.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under general supervision, plumbing includes the work and/or practice, materials, fixtures used in the installation, removal, maintenance, extension and alternative of a plumbing system of all piping fixtures, fixed appliances and appurtenances in connection with the following sanitary drainage on storm drainage facilities, special wastes, the venting system and the public or private water supply systems. Working knowledge of chilled water and hot water supply and returns is also mandatory. Perform routine maintenance and to restore alarms and emergency calls related to mechanical systems and utilities including life support systems such as: oxygen, medical air and vacuum.</p> <p>ROTATING WEEKENDS REQUIRED</p> <p>MAY NEED TO BE RQUIRED TO WORK HOLIDAYS</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>1) Responds to emergency and trouble calls throughout the hospital.</p> <p>2) Installs and repairs plumbing throughout the campus including, but not limited to: piping valves, faucets, plumbing fixtures, drains.</p> <p>3) May perform functions of a gas-fitter, steam-fitter and sprinkler-fitter.</p> <p>4) Must be proficient in the assembly and installation of different plumbing materials such as but not limited to: iron, steel, glass, copper, and plastic.</p> <p>5) Must be able to sort, solder, silver solder and caulk joints</p> <p>6) Must be knowledgeable of threading tools.</p> <p>7) Be able to install and maintain oxygen, vacuum and air systems.</p> <p>8) Complete daily record of work completed.</p> <p>9) a) Is subject to call anytime for emergencies. b) Respond to problems of all trades during off shift hours as required.</p> <p>10) Regularly directs the work of plumber's assistant or apprentice.</p> <p>11) To perform routine preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.</p> <p>12) To respond to any emergency call or alarm and to repair the problem or make the appropriate referral.</p> <p>13) To function as a work order coordinator, answering phones, dispatching calls, making work orders.</p> <p>14) To monitor and/or operate the following systems, campus , satellites,& east mechanical/scientific alarms, Translogic tube systems, Honeywell building automation, Andover building automation, fire alarm system, and any other of our automated systems.</p> <p>To accept responsibility as a charge person in the absence of a supervisor.
