<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The major responsibility of the position is classroom and/or laboratory instruction of students enrolled in a noncredit Medical Clinical Assistant program. The instructor is responsible for supervising, instructing, and evaluating students in a hands-on laboratory environment to ensure competency in Medical Clinical Assistant skills.</p> <p>EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Masters degree preferred, Bachelor degree required in related science field, from an accredited college or university required. Completion of a nationally recognized medical assistant training program is required.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Current Certified Medical Clinical Assistant certificate in good standing with the NHA, AMT, or AAMA. </li><li>Minimum of two years of recent hands-on Medical Clinical Assistant experience; </li><li>Demonstrated clinical competence in Rooming the Patient, Vital Signs, EMR use, HIPAA, POC Testing, Sterile Technique, Rehab Tools use, EKG Technique, and Basic Phlebotomy is required. </li><li>Prior teaching, mentoring, or preceptor experience preferred; </li><li>Ability to adapt and manage multiple learners in a laboratory setting; </li><li>Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification; </li><li>Qualified applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None</p> <p>TRAVEL: Occasional travel between Quincy and Plymouth campuses and Boston site may be required</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate proper Medical Clinical Assistant Skills/Techniques in a laboratory setting; </li><li>Supervise and monitor students during hands-on skills practice; </li><li>Enforce infection control, safety, and professional conduct standards; </li><li>Evaluate student competency and technical skill performance; </li><li>Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and cleanliness; </li><li>Maintain attendance and competency documentation; </li><li>Communicate with program leadership regarding student progress; </li><li>Participate in required training and faculty meetings; </li><li>Assume other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>Bachelors Degree: $65 per hour</p> <p>Masters Degree: $70 per hour</p> <p>Ph.D.: $75 per hour</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Quincy College is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based on race, age, creed, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, gender, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or pregnancy.
