<p>Description</p> <p>SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM- 5PM or as needed, on-call rotation required</p> <p>Pays $ 66,372.80 annually DOE</p> <p>Location: 28 Rockwell Street, Dorchester, MA -However, travel is required to all Safe Haven Sites</p> <p>Summary of the Position:</p> <p>The Program Manager at Safe Haven will be responsible for the overall management of the three Safe haven programs located at 414 Harrison Avenue (10 bed), 8 Church Street (10 bed)and 28 Rockwell Street (11 bed) locations using a Safe Haven Stabilization model. The Program Manager-Safe Haven is responsible for the supervision of two (2) Direct Reports. The Program Manager is also responsible for creating and maintaining a respectful atmosphere that empowers very chronic, mentally ill participants to reach their highest level of functioning. The Program Manager will be overseeing a program model that operates on a 24/7 staffing model that is funded and licensed by the Department of Mental Health. The Program Manager provides support and guidance for staff within the mission of the organization and upholds the programmatic goals of housing stability and psychosocial rehabilitation. The Program Manager will be advocating on behalf of participants for appropriate mental health services; providing clinical and administrative supervision of their direct reports; and providing oversight of the budget and operations of the program. This individual also provides leadership and coordination with staff from other Pine Street Inn Departments as well as outside agencies including the Department of Mental Health, housing authorities, social service agencies, managed care organizations, and community health centers. The individual is flexible, a team-player, and can work independently. The individual develops policies, procedures, and trainings for the department in conjunction with the Director of Specialized Housing. The individual will be self-motivated, possess solid organizational and communications skills, and capable of developing and drafting new policies, procedures, and plans. This position requires a great deal of tact, diplomacy and creative problem solving in order to maintain our positive working relationships with our stakeholders, colleagues and neighbors.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education/Training:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>· Bachelors Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychosocial rehabilitation, or educational psychology or related field </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>· Valid Massachusetts driver's license </li><li>· Licensed in Massachusetts in Social Work or Counseling (LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC) </li><li>· Advanced training in psychosocial rehabilitation </li><li>· Masters Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Experience:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two (2) years' experience working with homeless individuals suffering from complex disabilities in housing settings </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience working with an array of staff with various educational and experiential backgrounds </li><li>Experience supervising others as well as team leadership </li><li>Familiarity with the concepts of psychosocial rehabilitation and consumer empowerment </li><li>Experience planning and implementing treatment programs </li><li>Experience working with management issues such as budgeting, statistics, and program evaluation </li><li>Interest in and knowledge of current treatment of chronic mental illness, including medications </li><li>Experience with dually diagnosed individuals and the Department of Mental Health </li><li>Experience and Strong skills in clinical assessment, crisis de-escalation techniques, and treatment planning, as well as strong writing skills </li><li>Expertise in Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Techniques, and Trauma - Informed Care </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Clinical supervisory experience working with diverse staff </li><li>Previous experience working with a Housing First/Safe Haven model </li><li>Familiarity with the Metropolitan Boston public and private mental health system </li><li>Long term therapy experience with chronically mentally ill people </li></ul>
