We each commit to making Tanner Health System a great place for our employees to work, for patients to receive care and for physicians to practice medicine.</p> <p>Functions</p> <p>Area of Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Job Knowledge: Reports to the Director of Medical Staff Services. </li></ul> <ol> <li> <p>Supports and understands overall Medical Staff Services departmental activities and needs</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates meetings and clinical research request for Tanner Health</p> </li><li> <p>Helps maintain policies and required documentation/registration for various medical staff committees/programs including medical education and clinical research</p> </li><li> <p>Manages and fulfills requests for research/literature, testing proctoring for students, and onboarding information for new medical staff</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and facilitate usage of system research resources for Tanner that support Medical Staff</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Communication - </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li> <p>Schedules meetings and coordinates materials for various committees including research study request and medical education request</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains minutes and pertinent records for Medical Staff meetings as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Helps and supports any day-to-day request or inquiries from Tanner's Medical Staff</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and maintains supplies for the department</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Collaboration: </li></ul> <ol start="10"> <li> <p>Provide group and individual instruction on the use of the library resources and electronic databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with overall Medical Staff on data requests and reports</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain good relationships with vendors for the purpose of providing support on evidence-based resource tools available currently and strategically for future initiatives</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Judgement and Decisions: </li></ul> <ol start="13"> <li> <p>Utilizes a range of computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Up-to-Date, Ebsco Host, and other software made available to perform job functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and evaluates Survey/Engagement data to provide feedback of Medical Staff needs</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Professional Qualities: </li></ul> <ol start="15"> <li> <p>Presents a professional image and demeanor that emphasizes communication skills and respectful interactions that align with Tanner's culture and mission</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Staff Services Director</p> </li></ol> <p>Compliance Statement</p> <ul> <li>Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge & Skills</p> <p>Education: Degree in Business, Education, Library Sciences, Clinical Research</p> <p>Experience: Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.</p> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <ul> <li>NONE REQUIRED </li></ul> <p>Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Position does not supervise others. Reports directly to Director of Medical Staff Services. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or master's degree in business, education, library science, or clinical research. Minimum 3 years' related experience in healthcare or higher learning institution. </li></ul> <p>Definitions</p> <ul> <li>Under supervision and direction of the Director of Medical Staff Services, </li></ul> <ol start="17"> <li>Employee is system based and works collaboratively with the Medical Staff committees, medical staff leadership, department directors, and other departments to provide and keep current medical library and other resources </li></ol>
