<p>Job Title: Industrial Construction Superintendent</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Industrial Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of industrial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Additionally, the ability to travel up to 33% of the year is essential.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that company policies, procedures, and quality standards are followed in accordance with the Quality Management System. </li><li>Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP's) and ensure all owner safety requirements are met while actively working onsite. </li><li>Maintain a positive work atmosphere. </li><li>Lead the planning process and monitor safety, execution, schedule, quality, and budgets. </li><li>Develop and update project schedules and assign crew duties and responsibilities. </li><li>Manage crew and subcontractor performance based on safety, attendance, productivity, or workmanship issues. </li><li>Conduct daily safety meetings and end-of-shift meetings and write daily reports. </li><li>Order and schedule deliveries of material, equipment, and tools. </li><li>Track and update labor and material cost reports. </li><li>Manage all onsite union relations. </li><li>Provide customer service. </li><li>Mentor tradespeople, foremen, and engineers for personal and company growth. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in construction, RFI, change order, project engineering, project coordination, commercial construction, estimation, and project scheduling. </li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. </li><li>Experience with carpentry, concrete, steel fabrication, heavy rigging, and the installation of industrial equipment. </li><li>Food & beverage industry experience. </li><li>Willingness to travel, preferably with past travel experience. </li><li>Construction management, project management, field engineering, and general contractor experience. </li><li>Knowledge of building systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Completion of a four-year college degree related to construction. </li><li>At least five years of superintendent or assistant superintendent experience. </li><li>Superior communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Based out of the Janesville or Madison, WI office, with onsite presence and travel 33% of the time to various construction projects across the country. Most work is conducted in the Midwest. Relocation to one of these offices is required when not onsite.
