<p>Description</p> <p>Under the direction of the Platforms Lead this position builds wooden platforms used for strength training. This position differs from Level II in that the incumbent may build or finish, but not necessarily do both. They may also not be cross trained in the Crates Department. They may be in the process of learning these things, but are not yet able to do so regularly and independently.</p> <p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time:</p> <p>General Requirements of All Levels:</p> <ul> <li>Regular and reliable attendance </li><li>Keep area clean and organized </li><li>Follow safety procedures and instructions </li><li>Maintain productivity throughout shift </li><li>Work quickly and accurately with minimal mistakes </li><li>Have all necessary tools required at your work station and in proper working condition </li><li>Other jobs or projects as assigned </li><li>Meet the daily production schedule as provided by supervision </li></ul> <p>Building Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Cut wood boards using table saw and panel saw </li><li>Arrange and nail/staple boards to complete platform </li></ul> <p>Finishing Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Machine sand and clean platform before applying decals and coating </li><li>Apply coating materials as required </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <ul> <li>External candidate: 6 months to 3 years related experience and/or training in assembly, building shipping crates and pallets, or related woodworking tasks. </li></ul> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
