<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Under indirect supervision, operates radiographic equipment to produce radiographs of structures in the human body that are utilized by physicians for the diagnosis of disease processes, and/or pathology. Utilizes technical judgment and skills to ensure that produced radiographs are of the highest diagnostic quality and demonstrate the area(s) of interest.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains patient information and test files/data bases </li><li>Interviews patients to confirm/obtain necessary history </li><li>Explains radiographic procedures to patient </li><li>Operates radiographic equipment, and, performs for imaging tests as stipulated in the work assignment as defined in the scope of certification </li><li>Where applicable, performs bone densitometry testing as per orders/requisition and standard protocols including the archiving of pre-and post-test data where applicable </li><li>Properly positions patient for imaging and/or scanning </li><li>Reviews completed scans for requisite information and anatomical areas of interest as per imaging protocol </li><li>Prints out data reports and provides bone densitometry scan/patient record to authorized recipients as required </li><li>Enters clinical data into computerized data base(s) </li><li>Provide as needed weekly, monthly regular reports/summaries of tests performed </li><li>Complies with all continuing education requirements </li><li>Establishes and maintains systems for patient test results and follow-up. </li><li>Responds to the needs of others by maintaining a professional behavior toward members and coworkers and creating a positive image for the organization. </li><li>Identifies the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition and makes accommodations for such differences. </li><li>Utilizes proper body mechanics. </li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process in delivery of services to patients of the age group served. </li><li>Documents clinical activities in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner. </li><li>Observes all organizational, regional, and medical service area policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintains standards of professional behavior established to enhance quality of service. </li><li>Utilizes effective communication skills. </li><li>Exhibits professional conduct in all interactions with patients and staff. </li><li>Meets productivity norms established by the department. </li><li>May perform other related duties as requested/required </li></ul>
