<p>Job Title Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer Department Women's Soccer Essential Functions</p> <p>The Assistant Coach for the Women's Soccer program will assist in all aspects of the sport program including coaching, recruiting, film breakdown, budget management and fund raising, managing distribution of athletic equipment, student-athlete mentoring, monitoring academic progress, and ensuring program is compliant with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. The Assistant Coach will promote the team, as well as University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) and participate in community outreach.</p> <p>Leadership and Management</p> <ul> <li>Instruct student-athletes in the sport, which includes skill instruction, motivation and conduct session practices. </li><li>Provides effective feedback to student-athletes during competition. </li><li>Anticipates needs of program, works with support staff and members of Omaha Athletics to ensure execution of responsibilities. </li><li>Coordinate programs recruiting efforts including identifying prospective student-athletes, attending showcase events, and maintaining daily dialogue with prospects. </li><li>Oversee practice plans and give feedback to ensure effective training and development. </li></ul> <p>Strategic Planning & Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Implement student-athlete development for the team both within and outside of the field of competition. Create an evaluation system for individuals work to track progress and development. </li><li>Plans and directs the sport training of student athletes. Assesses student-athletes' skills and designs strategy to enhance skillset. Works directly with student athletes at practices and demonstrates proper technique; facilitates competition preparation and tournament management. </li></ul> <p>Management</p> <ul> <li>Create and maintain a positive culture within the program. </li><li>Recruit quality prospective student-athletes and maintain NCAA Compliant within recruiting guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Engage the public, donors, and media in support of the program by attending community functions representing the institution. </li><li>Adhere to all University, Conference and NCAA policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule Varies - Includes Nights and Weekends Additional Duties Required Qualifications</p> <p>Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred education is a Bachelor's Degree.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
