<p>Position Objective:</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic leadership for all Safety, Health and Environmental programs and initiatives, </li></ul> <p>ensuring alignment with AB Mauri corporate objectives and full compliance with governmental</p> <p>regulations; develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust safety-focused culture; oversee</p> <p>safety, health and environmental risk management and mitigation strategies; and champion a culture of engagement, accountability, and sustainability consistent with AB Mauri's values across the plant.</p> <p>Key Result Areas:</p> <p>Performance Standards</p> <p>Health and Safety</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and monitor all AB Mauri Health & Safety programs, ensuring </li></ul> <p>compliance and best practice.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors for all S&H matters. </li><li>Chair the plant Safety Committee, setting strategic direction and driving continuous </li></ul> <p>improvement (Target Zero initiatives).</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and execution of the Behavior Based Safety Program. </li><li>Oversee the creation and maintenance of site Risk Assessments, ensuring all employees have the necessary equipment and training. </li><li>Direct all incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective actions. </li><li>Manage S&H audits and associated findings, ensuring timely and effective resolution. </li><li>Oversee the development and delivery of all regulatory and internal training programs. </li><li>Maintain oversight of all S&H documentation, including training records, incident reports, and KPI databases. </li><li>Advise on S&H aspects of site projects, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated through effective management of change. </li><li>Conduct regular inspections of operations and facilities, ensuring hazards are identified and addressed. </li><li>Oversee the Contractor Safety Program, ensuring compliance and safe practices. </li></ul> <p>Environmental</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and implementation of all environmental programs, ensuring </li></ul> <p>compliance with company standards and governmental regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee the management of site waste, wastewater, and air permit (Title V) compliance, ensuring all activities adhere to relevant environmental regulations and company standards. Responsibilities include monitoring disposal processes, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental impact. </li><li>Lead and oversee the implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems to ensure compliance with environmental protection standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to prevent accidental releases, minimize environmental impact while supporting sustainable and continuous improvement activities. </li><li>Oversee the completion and submission of all environmental reports, permits, and </li></ul> <p>authorizations.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure timely and accurate governmental and company environmental /Green House Gas reporting and environmental incident documentation. </li></ul> <p>Sustainability</p> <ul> <li>Champion 6s initiatives in the facility by providing training, coaching and guidance to each department. </li><li>Lead Sustainability initiatives to minimize our waste footprint which include physical and environmental. </li></ul> <p>Strategic & Team Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage the SH&E budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. </li><li>Lead, coach, and develop the site SH&E team, fostering professional growth and high </li></ul> <p>performance.</p> <ul> <li>Set and monitor departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards. </li><li>Regularly communicate SH&E objectives, progress, and results to senior management and plant staff. </li><li>Represent the plant in corporate SH&E forums and initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Human Resources</p> <ul> <li>Comply with all HR policies and procedures. </li><li>Comply with relevant employment laws. </li><li>Ensure payroll is accurate and approved for hourly employees. </li><li>Lead or facilitate the MBU team meetings and root cause analysis. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Focus on continuous improvement. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Ongoing development/training as required. </li></ul>
