<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (Global Enterprise) in Brighton, MA (hybrid - 4 days on-site).</p> <p>The Opportunity: We are looking for a deeply technical Network Engineer to help operate and evolve a large-scale, global enterprise network. This role is built for someone who loves being hands-on - designing, building, troubleshooting, and automating real-world network infrastructure that spans offices, data centers, and cloud environments worldwide.</p> <p>This is not a people-management or purely architectural role. You will act as a technical lead by example, staying close to the technology and solving complex problems alongside other experienced engineers.</p> <p>What You'll Work On:</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and operate global network infrastructure across corporate offices, data centers, and cloud platforms </li><li>Own routing and switching in complex environments, including BGP, OSPF, and L2/L3 networking </li><li>Build and support Cisco-based networks, with a strong emphasis on Nexus platforms </li><li>Engineer hybrid and cloud networking solutions, primarily in AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect), with exposure to Azure </li><li>Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and related tooling </li><li>Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and IDS/IPS </li><li>Partner with security teams to translate policy into secure, auditable network designs </li><li>Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and resiliency across regions </li><li>Provide Tier III support and serve as an escalation point for complex network issues </li><li>Work with global carriers and vendors to support connectivity across North America, EMEA, and APAC </li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation supporting mission-critical infrastructure* 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering within global environments </li><li>Deep hands-on expertise in routing, switching, and network troubleshooting </li><li>Strong experience in Cisco networking, especially Nexus </li><li>Proven experience designing and operating large-scale networks across multiple regions </li><li>Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, particularly AWS </li><li>Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar automation/IaC tools </li><li>Strong background in network security fundamentals </li><li>Comfortable operating -in the weeds- while acting as a technical leader </li><li>Clear communicator who collaborates well across infrastructure and security teams </li></ul> <p>What Success Looks Like:</p> <ul> <li>Highly reliable, secure global connectivity with minimal downtime </li><li>Cloud and on-prem networks that are automated, scalable, and well-documented </li><li>Faster provisioning and fewer manual changes through IaC and automation </li><li>Strong security posture embedded directly into network design </li><li>Clear ownership and accountability for complex network challenges </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Industry certifications such as CCNP or cloud certifications </li><li>Experience in highly regulated or financial services environments </li><li>Exposure to global networking across EMEA and APAC </li></ul> <p>Why Join: You will work on a truly global network with real complexity and scale - not a greenfield lab or a purely strategic role.
