<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Assistant Manager of Psychiatric Technicians performs client care duties for clients in acute psychiatric distress. Assists Manager with supervision of psychiatric technicians and assumes supervisory function in Manager's absence.</p> <p>Position Qualifications:</p> <p>High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred and/or 3 years of experience working with youth experiencing acute psychiatric distress. Experience working in an OMH licensed program preferred. A minimum "very good/outstanding" performance evaluation on the most recent performance appraisal. Excellent written and verbal skills. Completed mandated training. Has demonstrated ability to care for children and youth in a nurturing and therapeutic manner. Must have strong supervisory skills in managing and motivating the staff. Has demonstrated appropriate implementation of The Children's Village Values: Cultural/Sensitivity/Conflict Resolution/GGI, as presented in the curriculum.
