<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Duties: Monitor students working on projects and assess student artwork. Assign and grade projects and examinations. Provide adequate accommodations for students with 504's and IEP's. Plan and implement content specific lessons. Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities. Monitor art supplies, organize storage areas, and control use of materials, equipment, and tools to prevent loss or abuse, and to minimize time required for distribution and collection. Provide instruction on the use of media such as graphite and charcoal pencils, as well as oil, acrylic, and watercolor paint. Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Education, Environmental Design, Art, or a related field Special Requirements: • Must have Preliminary California Single Subject Teaching Credential or the ability to obtain Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of experience in each of the following: • Integrating technology into the art curriculum using digital art tools and software • Designing and implementing engaging and educational art lessons and projects aligned with local state standards • Assessing and evaluating student progress and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs • Working with various art techniques and media such ad drawing, painting, ceramics, or digital art • Utilizing educational platforms such as Google Classroom for assignments and communication, Google Sites for class websites, Aeries for student data management including attendance and grades, or D2L for online learning and course organization JOB LOCATION: 2450 Grant St. Concord, CA 94520 SALARY RANGE: $98,072.20 - $120,623.70 Compensation package includes benefits 40 hours per week.
