<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Principal for our North Charleston, SC location. This role requires 25% travel.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with technical teams through the DoD acquisition engineering process as in: actively participate in and provide technical input for Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, requirements development, design, test, and fielding. </li><li>Develop and assist with review of project engineering documents as required to include Technical Data Packages (TDP), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), engineering design solution documents, and technical evaluations. </li><li>Work with Functional Leads including Configuration Management (CM), Logistics, Test & Evaluation (T&E), and Cybersecurity on related tasking to ensure all network engineering issues impacting site, system, or Government acceptance of the system are addressed. </li><li>Provide subject matter expertise in the discussion and input to technology roadmaps. </li><li>Identify considerations in implementation of various materiel solutions. </li><li>Assist in the market research, as required, to support analysis of solutions to meet capability requirements. </li><li>Conduct research and propose recommended changes to the Marine Corps Software Defined Access Base Area Network technical design and/or other leading technologies supporting solution requirements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's and 9 years of experience, Master's and 7 years of experience, or PhD and 4 years of experience. </li><li>Experience with DoD, USMC, or NIWC. </li><li>Strong analytical and collaborative skills. </li><li>Experience developing requirements documents. </li><li>Experience developing test documentation. </li><li>Experience in leading the performance of test events for DoD. </li><li>Experience in coordination of test event activities with senior-level site personnel responsible for system acceptance. </li><li>Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance. </li></ul> <p>SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.</p> <p>Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
