<p>LVN PRN</p> <p>USPI Endoscopy Center of Inland Empire Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated LVN to join our team. We have 2 procedure rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastro.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li>The LVN is responsible for assisting/supervising in overall ASC operations to include patient triage, visits, and scheduling, returning calls and prescription refills. </li><li>Pre-Procedure and Admission to ASC to include explanation of procedure, explanation of all required patient forms, obtaining patient signatures on all forms. </li><li>Correctly performs IV insertion, administers IV medications and other medications under supervision as ordered for the patient. </li><li>Responsible to maintain and provide a safe, clean and orderly environment, through use of aseptic principles, consistent cleaning/disinfection of all patient care areas, and daily maintenance of endoscopic equipment. </li><li>Protects patient confidentiality by adherence to HIPAA standards and guidelines. </li><li>Maintains accurate and complete endoscopic records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions and patient responses. </li><li>Assures laboratory/tissue policy and procedures are followed. </li><li>Initiates emergency measures as indicated. </li><li>Pre and post-procedure teaching and discharge instructions. </li><li>Functions within the scope of nursing practice as required by the CA Board of Nursing. </li><li>Keeps knowledge and skills current through continuing education. </li><li>Reports errors of commission/omission. </li><li>Assures infection control policies are followed. </li><li>Anticipates and helps maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and medications. </li><li>Adheres to instructions and established routines. </li><li>Assists with orientation of new personnel. </li><li>May be the nurse designate in assisting the pharmacist to maintain accurate records of all medications located in the pharmacy closet. </li><li>Assists others as needed. </li><li>Other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>#USP-LVN</p> <p>#USP-123</p>
