<p>Basic Functions:</p> <p>To plan and implement the education of students with Moderate, Severe and Multiple Disabilities.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>To plan Individual Education Programs (IEP) for students who have significant mental and physical disabilities.</p> <p>To implement, teach and provide physical care of students who have significant mental and physical disabilities.</p> <p>To work with general education teachers in order to foster appropriate inclusion of students in the school setting.</p> <p>To plan and implement Community Based Education as deemed appropriate.</p> <p>To supervise classroom paraprofessionals in order to provide the physical care and safety of the students.</p> <p>Excellent parent/teacher communication skills and problem solving.</p> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <p>Minimum of Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Indiana Certification in Intense Intervention</p> <p>Work experience in a culturally diverse setting</p> <p>Strong work ethic and commitment to ongoing professional development and training</p> <p>Expertise in the following: interpersonal skills, organization and management, written and verbal communication and use of technology</p>
