<p>Stipend: $3,708.32</p> <p>Dates of Program: June 27 & 30 Staff Training Days -- July 2 - August 1 - 3 days per week (W,TH,F) 16 total work days, 14 days with students; 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m./ 5.5 hours/day (NO SCHOOL FRIDAY JULY 4TH)</p> <p>Description: Responsible for supporting and providing the tools needed to Intervention Specialists and Classroom Assistants in order for them to correctly follow student behavior plans, collect data, and report on behavior. Participate as a member of the crisis team as well as lead the team in crisis situations. Make visual supports as needed and work with the Director and Assistant Director of CARES to set up the structure of each classroom in order to prevent behavior issues.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a four-year college degree from an accredited college. </li><li>Must be certified in Crisis Intervention Prevention. </li><li>Experience supporting students with autism, ages 6 to 22. </li><li>Thorough knowledge, understanding and appreciation for the elements of structure as outlined in the TEACCH methodology and how they are used to support the learning process of individuals with autism. </li><li>Proficiency in implementing a Behavior Intervention Plan and the ability to communicate and demonstrate that to other staff members. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work and interact with other staff members, students, certified BCBA, and administration in a manner that is cooperative and productive. </li><li>Working towards a certification as a BCBA is preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p> <p>To assist the Mentor Board of Education in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act, please inform us of any special needs you have so that we may make it possible for you to participate in the application for employment process.
