<p>Position Type:</p> <p>2025-2026 Anticipated Openings/Certified Staff</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/1/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>355 State Street Hackensack, NJ</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>09/01/2025</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>07/10/2025</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>HACKENSACK PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>Supervisor of Special Education</p> <p>School Year 2025 - 2026</p> <p>Title: Supervisor of Special Education</p> <p>Job Summary: To work with the Director of Special Services on all aspects of the implementation, administration, coordination and supervision of the district's Special Services Programs, grades 5-12; To provide vision and leadership for implementation of related curricula, state testing requirements including, NJSLA, DLM and APA testing, oversight of Child Study Teams and student placements, curriculum/assessment alignment and modifications, professional development and general department assistance by fostering a climate that supports student achievement, teacher collegiality, collaboration and best practices.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Special Education teaching experience preferred </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and experience with curriculum alignment, benchmark assessments, and modifications </li><li>Demonstrated experience working with Child Study Teams </li><li>Demonstrated experience with administration of state testing (NJSLA-DLM) </li><li>Knowledge of curriculum development and NJSLS, as well as demonstrated experience with making/recommended modifications </li><li>Proficiency with student data management systems and data analysis protocols </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li><li>Works well independently and takes initiative to support vision and leadership goals </li><li>Appropriate NJ Supervisor and/or Principal certification required </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions: Office of Special Services/District wide position.</p> <p>Salary: Per the HASA/HBOE Agreement</p> <p>Application Process: Apply Online via Frontline/AppliTrack</p> <p>Selection Procedure: A review of applications followed by interviews, will result in a recommendation to the Superintendent and the Board.</p>
