<p>Job Title: Embedded Controls Engineer</p> <p>Seeking a candidate with a strong experience in Control Theory and embedded systems.</p> <p>This position will design, implement and maintain the various software and firmware algorithms required for operating precision variable frequency drives (VFDs).</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, test, debug and provide ongoing support for operating system and application software that meets technical and customer requirements </li><li>Adhere to established coding and revision control standards </li><li>Solicit and incorporate customer and end user feedback to further improve our products </li><li>Conduct and participate in code and design reviews </li><li>Respectfully champion new ideas and features, big or small </li><li>Document designs with ample comments, reports, and descriptions </li><li>Track and resolve reported bugs and perform thorough testing to verify the effectiveness of the fix </li><li>Design and develop reusable software and system components, and integrate them into existing and new designs </li><li>Work closely with electrical hardware engineers in the planning, design and development of products to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Control of Electric Motors and/or DC/DC converters </li><li>Strong experience in control theory and its application to engineering problems </li><li>Solid understanding of basic physics </li><li>Expert with Matlab/Simulink </li><li>Experience with real time Operating Systems </li><li>Experience with Verilog HDL code </li><li>Experience with C/C++, embedded software development </li><li>Experience with GIT </li><li>3+ years of related experience </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Vivado, Vitis and Matlab/System Generator and Mathematica Design Suites </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Franksville, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.</p> <p>Full benefits- health, dental, vision, 401K</p> <p>Workplace Type</p> <p>This is a fully onsite position in Franksville,WI.</p> <p>Application Deadline</p> <p>This position is anticipated to close on May 22, 2026.</p> <p>About Actalent</p> <p>Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
