<p>East Hill Medical Center is seeking a part-time medical assistant for our growing organization. This candidate will be based in our Family and Pediatric medical office. Our newly renovated office offers a clean and welcoming environment, with updated equipment, and an ideal workspace. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and strive to provide an exceptional experience for each patient, every time.</p> <p>Hours are Monday-Friday 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.</p> <p>No weekends!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for supporting and monitoring patient flow in the front and back offices </li><li>Responsible for performing various aspects of patient visit </li><li>Reviews health record with the patient </li><li>Obtains vital signs and patient data </li><li>Initiates the follow-up of specialty care referrals and services per policy </li><li>Assists patients with the completion of medical forms </li><li>Responsible for performing important medical tests and procedures on patients, as directed by practitioner within the MA scope. </li><li>Performs laboratory specimen collection, preparation and labeling </li><li>Performs ECG's </li><li>Responsible for obtaining medical record releases, and ensuring the processing of medical record requests </li><li>Assists with scanning relevant documents into the electronic health record system </li><li>Performs documentation in the patient's electronic health record </li><li>Responsible for preparing and stocking exam rooms </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or license program, preferred </li><li>1-2 years experience working as a Medical Assistant </li><li>1 year of Medent experience, preferred </li><li>Experience working in an office setting with pediatric and adult patients, preferred </li><li>Current BLS certificate </li><li>Current Infection Control certificate </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Part-time</p> <p>Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) matching </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Free parking </li><li>Paid sick time </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Evening shift </li><li>Monday to Friday </li><li>No nights </li><li>No weekends </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
