<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The CMMS Inventory Specialist will utilize the companies Computerized Maintenance Management System for the purpose of asset tracking, inventory control and data collection to be used by the management team for planning and continual improvement of the Facilities Department. This position ensures availability of necessary materials to support day-to-day operations, projects, and preventative maintenance schedules of the Department.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining CMMS for the respective site, developing into the site expert of the system. </li><li>Upload and update inventory information, asset related records and documents. </li><li>Maintain accurate database and prepare reports as requested by leadership. </li><li>Manage the ordering process of all parts in CMMS by evaluating usage & stock levels, generating Purchase Orders (PO) and contacting vendors to place orders. </li><li>Receive incoming materials, to include visual inspection of the materials, verification of shipping documentation, placing items in appropriate storage area, and updating CMMS. Appropriately addresses any issues during this process to include researching paperwork and making necessary contacts. </li><li>Collaborate with the Maintenance team on non-stock items, including researching competitive pricing, affirming timelines, ordering, receiving, and distribution as appropriate. </li><li>Maintain parts in CMMS to include tracking, reporting monthly and maintaining accurate inventory levels of parts and ERSA materials; perform physical inventories as necessary. </li><li>Assist with development of resource plans and scheduling for shutdowns and regular maintenance work, both proactive and reactive, to minimize equipment downtime. </li><li>Stage required parts from corrective work orders for the completion of asset repairs. </li><li>Safely operate power equipment, including pallet riders, hand trucks and forklifts throughout the facility. </li><li>Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership. </li><li>Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals. </li><li>Abide by all company and warehouse policies. </li><li>Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day. </li><li>Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. </li><li>Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. </li><li>Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. </li><li>Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc. </li><li>Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence </li><li>Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Experience in inventory management and use of a CMMS (Computerize Maintenance Management System) tool is strongly preferred </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; maintenance experience and forklift certification preferred but not required </li><li>High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> <p>Desired Traits</p> <ul> <li>Planning experience </li><li>Strong computer skills </li><li>Detail-orientated </li></ul>
