Upperline delivers a more efficient path for patients to receive consistent and effective treatment for chronic illnesses.</p> <p>Triage is temporary.</p> <p>Treatment is transformative.</p> <p>Upperline Health providers coordinate patients' care among a team of specialists - physicians, advanced practice providers, care navigators, pharmacists, dieticians, and social workers for integrated treatment that addresses patients' immediate and long-term health needs.</p> <p>About the Director of Finance</p> <p>The Director of Finance will serve a critical role in shaping and executing the company's financial strategy to drive growth and operational excellence.</p> <p>Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director will bring a strong analytical mindset and deep business acumen to translate financial insights into actionable strategies that support enterprise-wide decision-making. This leader will have meaningful influence on various key areas of financial management, which include P&L responsibilities, company-wide month-end reviews with executive team, long-term strategic initiatives and planning, and investor support.</p> <p>Upperline offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in being part of an innovative, growth culture at an organization leading the country in value-based specialty care. They must have exceptional attention to detail and be self-starters with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing environment.</p> <p>This position will have a significant impact and chance to be part of many growth trajectories for a high-growth healthcare company.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the preparation of the monthly financial statement close process and the financial reports </li><li>Lead the development of the various financial reports for the Board of Directors, operators, investors, and other stakeholders </li><li>Partner closely with Accounting to ensure the accuracy of the financials on a regular basis </li><li>Assist with honing financial operations infrastructure to support the organization's rapid growth, with a focus on monthly/quarterly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting </li><li>Partner with operational leaders, business development, and senior leadership to support the evaluation of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships </li><li>Establish financial discipline across acquired practices by standardizing reporting, integrating financial controls, and supporting physician engagement and accountability </li><li>Execute on other ad-hoc projects at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations as applicable </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have 8-10 years in progressively responsible roles in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, and/or corporate finance </li><li>Must have expert-level Excel/financial modeling skills </li><li>Must have demonstrated ability to lead and hone the monthly financial statement close process </li><li>Must have exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy </li><li>Significant plus: CPA or experience demonstrating strong accounting background </li><li>Significant plus: a deep understanding of the financial complexities and best practices associated with physician practice management </li><li>Significant plus: track record of succeeding in in high-growth environments, ideally in PE-backed multi-site healthcare delivery businesses that have seen growth through acquisition; appetite for a high growth and entrepreneurial environment </li><li>Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering/Accounting or other similar areas, MBA or other advanced degree preferred </li><li>This is a remote position, however ~quarterly travel to Nashville is required </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Comprehensive benefit options include medical, dental and vision, 401K, PTO and parental leave.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Compensation is commensurate with compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience.</p>
