<p>Job Title: Patient Care CoordinatorJob Description</p> <p>The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for processing and managing patient orders from hospitals or doctor's offices. This role involves utilizing the Bright Tree System to navigate various insurance portals including NJ HMO Websites, commercial insurance, and Medicare systems. The coordinator will verify insurance benefits and coverage, assign appropriate codes in the internal system, and communicate with patients to confirm pricing and orders.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receive and process orders from hospitals or doctor's offices. </li><li>Utilize Bright Tree System to navigate insurance portals. </li><li>Contact insurance providers to verify benefits and coverage. </li><li>Assign appropriate codes in the internal system. </li><li>Communicate with patients to confirm pricing and orders. </li><li>Answer phone calls and patient inquiries efficiently. </li><li>Process orders and approvals through insurance portals. </li><li>Handle a high call volume of over 100 calls per day, including call transfers and quick inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Prior insurance verification experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. </li><li>Data entry and customer service skills. </li><li>Experience in health care environments. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred, associate degree acceptable. </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required. </li><li>Strong multitasking abilities. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position operates in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with high interaction with healthcare providers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekend shifts. The current team consists of three members. The company, established for 32 years, is family-owned and encourages a familial work environment. Benefits include a good 401K plan, recognition of all holidays, and two weeks of vacation once permanent.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leonia, NJ.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
