<p>Job Title: Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking enthusiastic Entry Level Electrical Engineers to join our dynamic team in Lakeland. As part of our team, you will engage in projects involving generation, substation, distribution, protection, and automation principles. You will support electrical work for projects globally, gaining experience across various industries, including pulp and paper, space exploration, mining, desalination, and more. This position offers extensive on-the-job training, nurturing you into a proficient member of the engineering team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Learn, practice, and promote all safety policies and procedures consistently. </li><li>Familiarize with and adhere to client and company policies for developing site designs for electrical distribution facilities. </li><li>Prepare power system studies and analyses, such as Short Circuit, Voltage, Time-Current Coordination, Equipment Duty, and Load Flow. </li><li>Develop site drawings and construction sketches for electrical installations, ensuring safety and reliability. </li><li>Prepare job packages, including material estimates and requisitions for electrical design projects. </li><li>Evaluate the loading of various equipment components to ensure cost-effective and reliable designs. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and files, and update client systems with precise data entry. </li><li>Prepare CADD drawings and support business goals while maintaining professionalism. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>Desire to learn and work in the power/electrical industry </li><li>Ability to develop basic skills in electrical design and technical tasks </li><li>Pro-active and motivated attitude with a goal to advance in the Power Engineering field </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience or familiarity with CAD and AutoCAD </li><li>Interest in obtaining a PE license with company support </li><li>Must be able to pass a military base background check </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role involves on-the-job training, working in the office alongside a Sr Engineer. The company has a small, family-oriented environment with about 22 employees, and has been established for over 40 years.
