<p>Occupational Therapist - Full Time</p> <p>The Lutheran Care Center at Poughkeepsie is currently seeking a full time Occupational Therapist to join our team. Competitive pay, along with medical, dental, vision, 3 weeks' vacation, 10 holidays, 4 personal days, 12 sick days, tuition reimbursement, and a 403(b) for eligible employees.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Manage the professional components of Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments.</p> <ul> <li>Assess and evaluate residents and establish goals and plans. </li><li>Re-evaluate goals and treatment plans in accordance with New York State code. </li><li>Document required medical record progress notes per NYS code. </li><li>Insure a physician orders treatments. </li><li>Makes recommendation to Director and/or Physician on resident response to treatment. </li><li>Provide input as a member of the Comprehensive Care Planning Team. </li><li>Make assignments and supervise the Occupational Therapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Aide. </li><li>Familiar with facility policy and procedure. </li><li>Attend mandatory in-services and provide Occupational Therapy in-services as needed. </li><li>Assume department tasks as required including transportation, general housekeeping, sanitation, and cleaning of equipment as assigned. </li><li>Inputs data into computer. </li><li>Make rounds of all building on a regular basis to determine safety of the residents' environment. </li><li>Regularly monitor wheelchairs, geriatric chairs and adaptive devices. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy. </li><li>New York State license and current registration required. </li><li>Excellent clinical skills; comprehensive understanding of the issues surrounding long term care. </li><li>Previous experience in Occupational Therapy preferred. </li></ul> <p>Lutheran Care Center is a 160-bed nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation facility located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, and the care of our residents always comes first.
