<p>Machine Shop Supervisor - 2nd Shift</p> <p>Location: York, PA - In Person</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>Precision Custom Components (PCC) is a leading U.S. manufacturer of energy-related equipment, serving government, defense, nuclear, and commercial clients, including the Departments of Energy, Defense, NASA, and Naval shipyards. PCC is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Shop Supervisor to lead the machining department, supervise hourly associates, and ensure production meets quality, budget, and scheduling requirements.</p> <p>This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor who enjoys managing a team in a manufacturing environment, optimizing processes, and ensuring high-quality, compliant production outcomes.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and train the machining department workforce </li><li>Plan, coordinate, and direct daily manufacturing and quality assurance activities </li><li>Ensure production meets contractual, quality, and safety standards </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T for manufacturability and inspection </li><li>Utilize ERP and Microsoft Office applications to track production, schedules, and reports </li><li>Foster positive supervisor-employee relationships in a collective bargaining environment </li><li>Identify process improvements and implement efficiency initiatives </li></ul> <p>Must-Have Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or trade school equivalent (apprenticeship or post-secondary education preferred) </li><li>3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar environment </li><li>Verifiable supervisory experience in a machining or manufacturing setting </li><li>Strong computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) </li><li>Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge </li><li>U.S. citizenship at time of hire </li></ul> <p>Nice-to-Have Skills</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in defense, nuclear, or government-related manufacturing </li><li>Familiarity with shift scheduling and collective bargaining unit management </li><li>Exposure to tooling, fixtures, and material handling equipment </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <ul> <li>Self-starter with strong leadership and people-management skills </li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently </li><li>Comfortable supervising a unionized team and maintaining compliance standards </li><li>Able to mentor and guide associates while fostering a positive work culture </li></ul> <p>Additional Details</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year + 10% 2nd shift differential </li><li>Work Location: On-site (In Person) </li><li>Benefits: 401(k) matching, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, flexible spending account, flexible schedule with 1 day off every 2 weeks, employee assistance program, referral program </li></ul> <p>Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) matching </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Retirement plan </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
