We want you to apply!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Director of Facility Management should demonstrate strong oral and written communications, problem solving, leadership, organizational skills, possess building science technical education, knowledge, and experience. Director should be driven to meet deadlines, capable of working with little or no supervision, and have an eye for detail. The ability to set schedules, create and maintain budgets, and exercise time management skills is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse individuals, ranging from maintenance technicians to senior executives, is crucial. The director should be capable of arranging maintenance schedules and projects, orchestrate personnel and contractors to complete building repairs and renovations, and maintain inventory of infrastructure assets, maintenance tools, and supplies utilizing HCA Healthcare technology platforms. In addition to these skills, the director must be well versed in federal and state regulatory code standards and maintain the facility in a way that ensures the highest level of safety and compliance at all times. The Director will also be expected to mentor, train, and develop Assistant DFMs and/or Managers as part of HCA Healthcare's succession planning program. This position works directly with and through their assigned Divisional Director of Facility Management and Regional Director of Engineering</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic planning for facility management to allow the department to reach its goals while supporting the overall mission of HCA Healthcare </li><li>Execution of strategic plans, routine maintenance programs, and special initiatives </li><li>Team development by instilling trust within the team, delegating responsibilities, and motivating individuals to utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to create a successful and engaged team environment </li><li>Communication and collaboration in working effectively with others from diverse backgrounds, skillsets, and talents, ranging from technicians to corporate executives </li><li>Establishing and operating within department budget </li><li>Providing education and training opportunities, team building events, and conducting annual performance evaluations of direct reports </li><li>Authority to hire/dismiss direct reports </li><li>Staff workload management; scheduling, and assignment and completion of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks using HCA Healthcare's CMMS </li><li>Establishing work permitting and policy standards for facility staff and vendors to ensure compliance with federal and state work-safety guidelines (i.e. OSHA) </li><li>RFP creation, bid review, selection and evaluation of third-party vendors for contracted work </li><li>Operate facility in an effective and energy efficient manner </li><li>Execute the corporate-provided plan of succession that includes development and training of Assistant DFM </li><li>Identify talent and leadership traits within team; create training and development program to allow for internal growth opportunities </li><li>Maintaining all relevant documentation utilizing HCA Healthcare Engineering technology platforms to comply with all regulatory bodies </li><li>Life safety systems maintenance, testing, and inspection </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li><li>Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy, Mission, and Value Statement </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree Required </li><li>5 or more years in a hospital or acute setting required </li><li>Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) Training Required </li><li>Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) within 3 years of Hire Date </li></ul> <p>HealthTrust Supply Chain is a critical part of HCA Healthcare's strategy.
