The company provides deep material science expertise, outstanding customer service through broad geographic coverage and trusted product reliability.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Directs and coordinates activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.</p> <p>Candidates with prior blown film extrusion experience are strongly preferred.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations </li><li>Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products </li><li>Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications </li><li>Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, identify cost saving opportunities, and prevent operational delays </li><li>Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards </li><li>Strives to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines </li><li>Sets ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel </li><li>Provides motivation, support and guidance to all employees </li><li>Communicates any problems or obstacles to senior management </li><li>Establishes workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity </li><li>Drives the continuous improvement process and system, and implement programs that will have continuing long-term benefits </li><li>Implements 5S throughout the plant and oversee the auditing </li><li>Backs up Plant Manager as needed </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations or related field preferred, with four-five years' experience in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Supervisory experience required </li><li>Able to deal properly with sensitive and confidential information </li><li>Ability to effectively develop people, motivate and lead a team </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word </li><li>Must be dedicated to continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>Transcendia is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p>
