<p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Academic Data Analyst will serve as the primary data and program specialist supporting the Office of Instructional Excellence and its departments. This individual will lead the analysis, interpretation, reporting, and presentation of academic program data, instructional effectiveness data, formative assessment data, attendance data, and other key performance indicators. The position ensures educational return on investment (EROI) by identifying trends, conducting data analyses, developing impact reports, and overseeing special projects. The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Office of Assessment, Accountability, and Reporting department and the Office of School Leadership division to strengthen data-driven decision-making and improve educational outcomes.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer- Officer of Instructional Excellence</p> <p>SALARY SCHEDULE: 301</p> <p>WORK DAYS: 250</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Education Level: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. Preferred: Master's degree in educational research, or related field from an accredited college or university</p> </li><li> <p>Experience, Skill, and Certification:</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in educational data analysis, project management, or statistical analysis in a K-12 setting. </li><li>Experience with spreadsheets and reporting/analysis tools </li><li>Must be detail oriented, a team player, and demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills </li><li>Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, conduct quality control, and analyze data for trends and patterns. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings to diverse stakeholders, including educators, administrators, </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments. </li><li>Experience with project management </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with K-12 curriculum, instruction, intervention assessment platforms </li><li>Familiarity with implementation science, instructional improvement frameworks, or multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Design and conduct data analyses to track trends in instructional effectiveness, academic achievement, attendance, behavior, and student well-being.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize data visualization tools to develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that support instructional decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop predictive models to assess educational return on investment (EROI) and program impact.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with departments under the Office of Instructional Excellence-including Curriculum & Instruction, Professional Learning, Specialized Learning, Student Support Services and CTAE-to support data-informed decision-making and coordinate project initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the Office of School Leadership and the Office of Strategy, Innovation, and Performance to align data reporting and analysis with district-wide initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with school-based and district leadership teams to analyze school and student performance data.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide training and guidance to staff on data interpretation, visualization tools, and best practices for data-driven decision-making</p> </li><li> <p>Create and present data insights to district and school leadership teams, school board members, and other stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Translate complex data analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for educational leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the integration of multiple data sources into a central reporting system.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with IT and data teams to improve data access and visualization tools for academic department</p> </li><li> <p>Support program evaluation by providing necessary data analysis and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the Office of Instructional Excellence</p> </li></ol> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <p>Incumbents will be considered "at will." Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade 301 and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. The work calendar will be 250 days.
