<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manages tooling, maintenance and manufacturing engineering functions </li><li>Supports cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts. </li><li>Meet with corporate platform teams regularly </li><li>Supervises and directs members of the engineering and maintenance department </li><li>Provides advice to the plant manager on engineering and maintenance related matters </li><li>Manage and track all parts and tools to be implemented </li><li>Coordinates with production providing advice and assistance regarding new equipment installation </li><li>Analyze and determine product quality standards and engineering standards for equipment and production </li><li>Determines feasibility of various types of machinery being considered for purchase </li><li>Assist with specification and approval of manufacturing/capital expenditure plans </li><li>Supports the Environmental Manufacturing Representative in complying to the IATF-16469 </li></ul> <p>Skill Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Regular and predictable attendance. </li><li>Strong professional and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to interact with co-workers, customers, vendors and visitors in a respectful and professional manner. </li><li>Proven ability to work independently as well as multi-task. </li><li>Strong organization skills. </li><li>Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience </li><li>5-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering </li><li>3-5 years of managerial experience preferred </li><li>General knowledge of the TS16469/ISO14001/IATF16469 standards as they pertain to this position </li></ul> <p>Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Standing, walking, repeated bending, reaching, climbing stairs </li><li>Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs </li><li>Pushing or pulling up to 200lbs </li><li>Use of hands and legs </li><li>Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conservation </li><li>Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers </li><li>Vision: depth perception and distinguish basic colors </li><li>Operation of truck or motor vehicle </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals. </li><li>Noise: constant above 85dcb with vibration </li><li>Working with machinery with moving parts </li><li>Occasionally work with chemicals, grease and oils, moving vehicles, alone, hands in water, and more than 40 hours (41 to 50 hours) </li></ul> <p>Protective Equipment Required:</p> <ul> <li>Eye protection required </li><li>Hearing protection required </li><li>Occasionally hard hat, gloves and safety shoes are required </li></ul>
