Minimum 3-4 years' experience in facilities management and coordination preferred. Driver's license and clean driving record required. A background check is required.</p> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Head Start Early Learning Director or Designee</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance and repair of program service areas, grounds, furniture and equipment. Safety and security focused. Responsible for services to or coordination of services in multiple Head Start sites. Responsible for compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Strong written communication including technical information and data.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to the mission and vision of HCESC. </li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and renovation of all Early Learning Programs facilities including administration and classrooms. </li><li>Evaluate, supervise and cover responsibilities for supervised staff when needed. </li><li>Direct, coordinate, schedule and perform regular maintenance and upkeep of Early Learning Program classrooms, outside areas, including lawns, landscape beds, playgrounds, snow removal, and parking lots. </li><li>Procure, receive or delegate ordering, receiving and inventory of supplies, materials and furniture. </li><li>Assist in preparing and coordinating job bids, repair costs, estimates and meeting with contractors upon request. </li><li>Ensure that all fire codes and safety standards are up to date and in compliance. </li><li>Manage and track licensing visits of new classrooms & complete facility related corrective action plans in response to licensing monitoring visits. </li><li>Creating and providing or monitoring completion of safety and emergency management training. </li><li>Conduct and document routine safety drills and inspections. </li><li>Review and problem solve work order requests that come through the software system. Provide written feedback of the solution via the software system for data tracking. </li><li>Provide data-based input to the Fiscal Coordinator for the yearly facilities budget. </li><li>Coordinate office and classroom moves. </li><li>Work in partnership with school district facility personnel, HCESC personnel, or designated appointee on facility-related issues. </li><li>Prepare for, respond to and recover from emergency situations by implementing existing action plans. </li><li>Respond to any non-compliance issues identified during internal or external monitoring visits. </li><li>Work as a member of the Coordinator team, internal Head Start teams and external stakeholder teams. </li><li>Significant decision-making abilities. </li><li>Regular kneeling, bending, or sitting and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds plus. </li><li>Be available to work non-traditional hours including responding to emergency calls. </li><li>Utilize technology and online systems. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AND ADA STATEMENT:</p> <p>The Hamilton County Educational Service Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and endeavors to provide the highest quality service through employing professionals selected for their competence and expertise.
