<p>We are currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Logistics Department. The successful candidate provides assistance in shipping, in order to make the shipping process more efficient and to streamline communications with carriers. This position reports to Warehouse Supervisor. This position has no direct reports. Primary responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Prints out pick slips for the SO orders. </li><li>Writes the carrier name and pallet count on each pick slip. </li><li>Processes the bill of lading for each order. </li><li>Schedules dock appointments for the carriers to come and pick up their loads. </li><li>Calls the carriers, informing them of the freight to be picked up. </li><li>Checks in each driver that arrives, getting them a dock door. </li><li>Confirms all SO orders at the end of each day on the AS400 system. </li><li>Sets up all expedited shipments. </li><li>Answers calls from carriers in order to provide directions and general assistance. </li><li>Files all SO orders. </li><li>Maintains spreadsheets for the outbound log and the appointment log. </li><li>Utilizes email to send short sheets to the appropriate internal staff and schedule inbound loads. </li><li>Files trailer inspection reports. </li><li>Manages all other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. </li></ul>
