Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.</p> <p>Do you hold a Journeyman Millwright or Machinist card?</p> <p>Interested in a starting wage of $34 per hour, with an excellent benefits package?</p> <p>Come learn more about Smurfit WestRock's Battle Creek, MI Paper Mill!</p> <p>We are looking for Industrial Journeyman Millwrights!</p> <p>The Opportunity:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Participates in the safety program, works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the mill and OSHA.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain mechanical components and perform machine alignment.</p> </li><li> <p>Fabricate parts & equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs preventative maintenance duties on facility equipment.</p> </li></ul> <p>How you will impact WestRock:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicate effectively across departments, excellent problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner and completes assigned task correctly and within the allotted time.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have an outstanding safety record and engage in safety activities across the mill.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain motors, drives, couplings, bearings, seals, etc.</p> </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality and precision of work.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work alone with minimum supervision in a team concept.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work overtime when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work shift work when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>JDE or other work order systems knowledge needed, knowledge of paper mill processes and equipment.
