We are looking for a dedicated Data Analyst II like you to be a part of our team.</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Data Analyst is focused on providing subject matter expertise in the areas of Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, and Technical Solutions collaborating with project teams and business partners in service of achieving ITG project objectives. This position will have responsibilities in developing and documenting reports, collating and curating datasets, constructing dashboards and visualizations, and building technical and application solutions. This position will provide support to other analysts and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of the product initiatives according to HCA ITG objectives.</p> <p>The successful candidate need not be a data ninja (yet) but must have a curious mind willing to think critically and with critique, interrogate the data without bias, and demand excellence in both quality of output and clarity in presentation. A standout candidate will be a technical whiz, approaching technological obstacles with proficiency and resourcefulness, and crafting novel solutions with imagination and creativity.</p> <p>The candidate will provide hands-on expertise in data analysis and the development of reports, dashboards, and application solutions. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish effective working relationships and manage multiple priorities, and support internal stakeholders, external vendors, and end users. This position requires a strong working knowledge in clinical and EMR data.</p> <p>The ideal candidate for this position has a technical background in development or analytics with a flair for data storytelling and creative solutioning. Technology expertise in the various flavors of SQL, BI Tools such as Tableau and Power BI, and basic development and scripting skills in Python, R, or Javascript are a plus</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the creation of standardized reports and dashboards for the enterprise. </li><li>Work with analytic toolsets to provide data-driven answers. </li><li>Lead the creation of application modules to enable data-integrated solutions. </li><li>Work closely with each service line lead to ensure reports usage optimization </li><li>Ability to multi task, given various task assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks </li><li>Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals </li><li>Works with all departments throughout the product delivery cycle to ensure project dates are met and ensure timely completion of Data Analyst deliverables </li><li>Provide tier 2 customer support to the end users </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement". </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Experienced knowledge and application of SQL required, with preference in MSSQL and Google BigQuery. </li><li>Basic proficiency with programming or scripting languages (Python, R, shell, web) with a curiosity to learn more. </li><li>Demonstrate systematic thinking and methodical pursuit in problem-solving. </li><li>Ability to construct a data narrative and persuade through effective storytelling. </li><li>Demonstrate creativity in ideas, communication, and alternative solutioning. </li><li>Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, methods, and processes. </li><li>Demonstrate strong and empathetic customer orientation. </li><li>Ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. </li><li>Working knowledge of scrum and agile project delivery methodologies. </li><li>Professional demeanor and positive attitude. </li><li>Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Three years experience on increasingly challenging projects in business with a proven delivery track record. </li><li>Demonstrated advance subject matter experience of a service line application </li><li>A background working with a fast paced, results oriented environment. </li><li>Some travel required but generally less than 25% </li></ul> <p>HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the Worlds Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
