<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>This is a 2026 summer internship in our Legacy Business Unit department. The intern will work with production and methods engineering to design protection carts that can store exterior aircraft protection as well as some interior protection. The intern will identify the best designs to accommodate a mobile cart that makes everything more efficient and organized for production.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate an understanding of the aircraft protection process. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability of design engineering. </li><li>Propose processes to allow for most efficient aircraft protection processes. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Strong capability to analyze and make synthesis </li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft excel, word, power point, </li><li>3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, CATIA V5, or similar) </li><li>Strong communication skills, written and oral and the ability to create and clearly present new ideas or concepts. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. </li><li>Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or other engineering related field and must reside in the United States. </li><li>Must be at least a sophomore status. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Aerospace major preferred </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION:</p> <p>The compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour.
