<p>Freshman Softball Coach</p> <p>Date: 2024-25 School Year</p> <p>Start Date: Upon Hire</p> <p>Pay Rate: Stipends vary per position and can be found in the DA Contract's Extracurricular Salary Schedule</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assists with coaches with tryouts for students of a high school to attend and then decides who makes the team. Train athletes throughout the preseason process, assigning specific positions, assist with developing drills and organized game strategies. Attend every game and help with guiding the team. Supervise athletes during and after practices until they are released to a parent or guardian. Continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field and/or sport preferred.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Fundamentals of coaching course </li><li>Sports First Aid Certification </li><li>Concussion Awareness Course </li></ul> <p>Ability to organize and supervise a sports program; substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport; ability to keep accurate records and create concise reports; previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport preferred.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive program for our student athletes. The candidate must possess effective coaching skills and have knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sports. Previous experience coaching at the high school level is preferred.</p> <p>Funding Source: Regular Appropriation</p> <p>Reporting To: Athletic Director & Principal</p>
