<p>First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a SVP & CFO who will serve as a strategic advisor and key financial architect to the CEO and other core stakeholders, offering financial perspectives and recommendations to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will own the multi-year business plan and balance the needs for equity/debt to achieve the company's growth objectives.</p> <p>The SVP & CFO will collaborate with legal, tax, and accounting partners to navigate complex regulatory environments, optimize tax strategies, and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. The individual will work to implement best practices in financial and accounting operations, internal controls to safeguard company assets and promote operational efficiency.</p> <p>This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based in Hollywood, CA and reporting to the President & CEO. The target pay in California is $285,000 to $350,000.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term goals. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and risk mitigation. </li><li>Formulate the company's future direction by providing input on business plans, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting. </li><li>Offer guidance in the Company's longer-term business planning, evaluating future business pipeline in combination with financial considerations, including working capital needs, capacity planning, liquidity availability and so forth. </li><li>Develop comprehensive business plans for new initiatives, expansion projects, or strategic partnerships. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the feasibility and potential returns. </li><li>Provide thought leadership to and lead the budgeting process in partnership with key stakeholders in the preparation and development of their budgets. </li><li>Lead our enterprise risk and compliance programs ensuring the efforts and output align with our risk appetite. </li><li>Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to stakeholders, including the senior executive team and board of directors. </li><li>Implement financial systems, tools, and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices. </li><li>Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, treasury, financial controls, and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies. </li><li>Build and foster a harmonious team culture, demonstrate the ability to navigate dynamic conversations and harvest support from stakeholders and audience from all levels. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is required; CPA or MBA preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles within the financial institution space. </li><li>Strong financial acumen and deep knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in capital raising, investor relations, and strategic financial decision-making. </li><li>Knowledge and experience with member, product and branch profitability models. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services, procedures and guidelines, and field of membership requirements. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to essential responsibilities. </li><li>Exceptional analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. </li><li>Exceptional coaching skills within and across business lines. Proven track record of developing talent at all levels. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to secure buy-ins and alignment with stakeholders. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite with advanced Excel skills </li></ul>
