<p>SENIOR PRODUCTION DESIGNER</p> <p>Mars United Commerce Powered by Marilyn is a global commerce company that delivers all the solutions clients need to grow their business today and tomorrow. Ideal candidates have experience with CPG or shopper marketing agency related experience and reside within a commutable distance of Mars United Commerce's Detroit or Denver locations.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Receive, reformat, reorganize and/or build production-ready files in accordance to agency and vendor requirements </li><li>Be a solutions-oriented voice in internal pre-production and external vendor meetings </li><li>Inspect and assess working files to assure the correct assets (logos, fonts, colors, images) are available and utilized </li><li>Adhere to all agency, vendor and client guidelines & processes for file building and archiving </li><li>Keep project files organized and available to team members </li><li>Handle a workload of multiple projects and timelines, including daily administrative tasks like email and time entry </li><li>Complete assigned work with efficiency and technical excellence, on deadline </li><li>Collaborate with retouchers, creatives, project managers, producers and client leadership teams to manage the execution process </li><li>Communicate with vendors and teammates as needed regarding specs, dielines and file release protocols </li><li>Continue to grow your craft and skills. </li><li>Remain current on production best practices across print and digital </li><li>Inspire, manage & mentor talent </li><li>All other duties as assigned by Creative Leadership </li></ul> <p>SKILLSETS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, marketing, communications or related field </li><li>A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of technical creative skills and problem-solving </li><li>Culturally and creatively curious </li><li>Passion for technical problem solving, materials, </li><li>Eagerness to learn and fail </li><li>Ego-less collaborator </li><li>Confident in the face of feedback and/or criticism </li><li>Highly organized and self-motivated </li><li>Obsessively detail oriented </li><li>Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment </li><li>Expertise in print and digital technology, terminology and best-in-class protocols. </li><li>Experience working in point-of-sale, display and packaging dielines and with complex file builds </li><li>Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, GSuite and Powerpoint </li><li>Fluency in Esko is a plus </li><li>Basic design and layout skills </li><li>A thorough understanding of branding and visual identities and guidelines </li><li>Mastery in the understanding of various printing processes and techniques, specs, dielines and vendor production requirements </li><li>File-building skills across print and digital </li><li>Technical problem-solving skills </li><li>Written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Collaboration, time management and prioritization skills </li><li>Moderate to complex retouching skills </li><li>Developing people leadership skills </li></ul> <p>Mars United Commerce is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will recruit, hire, train and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, ancestry, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability or handicap, HIV, veteran, marital or family status, or any other status or condition protected by applicable state and/or federal laws, except where a bonafide occupational qualification applies.</p> <p>Mars United Commerce has developed a wide variety of inclusive benefit plans and policies that address and promote the needs of all employees and their family members, including comprehensive group health plans, a parental leave program that includes paid maternity and paternity benefits for pregnancy, adoption and surrogacy, flexible paid time off, a broad and confidential employee assistance program, ongoing wellness support initiatives, trusted financial health advice and guidance, promotion of education through tuition support and assistance, and a flexible and supportive work environment and culture.</p> <p>Compensation Range: $66,785 - $92,295 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
