<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Athletics and Wellness Department is looking for a Head Women's Softball Coach. The Head Women's Softball Coach will perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Coach women's softball team, coaching and teaching the sport of softball to student athletes. </li><li>Work with softball players providing daily planning, organization and supervision of practices and competitions, and complete all associated logistics. </li><li>Supervise assistant coaching staff providing direction, oversight and evaluation. </li><li>Evaluate, recruit and retain women's softball players to Bunker Hill Community college. </li><li>Meet recruitment and retention goals set by the College. </li><li>Attend college events for recruitment purposes prospective students and their families. </li><li>Provide recruitment and retention reports to the Director of Athletics. </li><li>Attend athletics staff meetings. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree required. </li><li>Minimum 3-years Coaching experience required in high school, club or college. </li><li>Previous playing experience preferred at the collegiate level. </li><li>Must maintain current CPR/AED certification. </li><li>Must possess a driver's license to provide van transportation to the games for student-athletes. </li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. </li><li>Strong and established recruiting skills. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Salary: $8,000</p> <p>Pay: It will be paid as 2 installments.</p> <p>Review Date: Open until filled</p> <p>Training & Recruitment / State Date: August 1, 2025</p> <p>Season Practice / Start Date: January 1, 2026 - End Date: May 8, 2026</p> <p>Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.</p> <p>Please note that as a condition of employment, the final candidate will undergo Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background screenings in accordance with state regulations.
