<p>The West Virginia University Institute of Technology at Beckley (WVU Tech), a divisional four-year campus of West Virginia University (WVU), is currently seeking applications for the following employment opportunity:</p> <p>The Department of Civil Engineering within the Leonard C. Nelson School of Engineering seeks to hire an Assistant / Associate Professor in Civil Engineering. The nine-month contract position is full-time, tenure-track, and benefits-eligible.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be expected to teach basic engineering mechanics courses as well as a variety of civil engineering courses such as Construction Materials, Soil Mechanics and upper-level elective geotechnical engineering courses. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue scholarly activities which may include research opportunities with the West Virginia Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, or similar funding agencies.
