<p>This position will design, test, and provide overall engineering support for the on-going development of the current OEM portfolio of products. The most important impacts this position has on the organization relate to the continuous improvement of the current product lineup, through enhancements made to functionality/usability, reduction in service and warranty claims, and overall customer satisfaction. The specific responsibilities, experience, and knowledge requirements are as follows:</p> <p>PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT</p> <ul> <li>Generate and convert ideas into working design solutions while working independently and within cross functional teams. </li><li>Provide and present design solutions for review by product and management teams. </li><li>Direct/evaluate design through 3D modeling, drafting, tooling and testing. </li><li>Conduct cost analysis and other feasibility studies as required. </li><li>Lead tolerance stack-ups to ensure assembly and fabrication capabilities. </li><li>Active member of the OEM Business Unit with a willingness to work with internal and external customers. </li><li>Write and manage engineering changes (ECs) to improve products </li><li>Self-starter who is able to satisfy their goals and timelines. </li></ul> <p>PROJECT MANAGEMENT</p> <ul> <li>Plan, schedule, prioritize, and organize work load. </li><li>Direct, review, and approve work done by Designers and Drafters. </li><li>Determine and coordinate test requirements and analyze results against the Business Unit objectives. </li><li>Write purchase requisitions and approve vendor invoices. </li></ul> <p>This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended.
