With global commitments in excess of €29 billion, Rothschild & Co Merchant Banking manages a series of funds dedicated to corporate and secondary private equity, multi-managers funds and co-investments as well as senior and junior credits.</p> <p>Our business is founded on three inter-twined principles - our passion for investing, respect for risk, and culture of partnership - all of which define who we are today.</p> <p>Overview of Role</p> <p>Rothschild & Co is now looking to recruit an operations analyst to join its Los Angeles investment operations team. The ideal candidate is interested in the investment management industry with finance knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent writing, communication and computer skills. The position will be primarily responsible for administering all aspects related to the daily accounting of portfolio assets and compliance oversight of investment portfolios.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage daily activity flow for loans in internal loan accounting system. </li><li>Assist in managing compliance oversight of CLOs and other portfolios of credit instruments including loans. </li><li>Responsible for producing and monitoring monthly and quarterly payment reports of CLOs and other investment portfolios. </li><li>Review portfolio compliance metrics and requirements for potential investment trade scenarios. </li><li>Assist in trade settlement administration: contacting trade counter parties, reviewing documentation, scheduling and closing settlements, and disseminating information to third party portfolio custodians. </li><li>Perform daily cash reconciliation for investment portfolios and resolve issues. </li><li>Compile portfolio cash position projections for Portfolio Managers </li></ul> <p>Education and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance </li><li>The ideal candidate will likely have 1-3 Years of experience </li></ul> <p>Experience, Skills and Competencies Required</p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of fixed income investment principles required </li><li>Understanding of CLO indentures, CLO trustee reporting, payment waterfalls and governing documents </li><li>Moderate experience of CLO bank loans </li><li>Understanding of S&P, Moody's and Fitch ratings as they relate to CLOs </li><li>Understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles </li><li>General understanding of structured credit products </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to interface with all levels of management </li><li>Detail oriented and able to multi-task </li><li>Individual must be driven, resourceful and a self-starter </li><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills a must) </li></ul> <p>Expected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $80,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
