The Civil Site Project Engineer performs high-level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard and moderate engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual complexities and selects non-routine techniques and procedures to be applied. The ideal candidate will have experience in site grading, drainage, utility design, and land development who can bring creative design practice and problem-solving skills balanced with a solid background in the field. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, driven professional who is looking for career growth!</p> <p>Typical Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares and designs plans for site grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and roadways for public and private sector clients. Contributes significantly to projects of all sizes. </li><li>Prepares hydrology, earthwork, and roadway plans and profile evaluations. </li><li>Assists in collecting due diligence information and preparing concept site engineering plans. </li><li>Contributes significantly to the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications. </li><li>Prepares submittals to state, municipal, and other agencies. </li><li>Applies judgment on design decisions and selects from standard engineering techniques and alternatives. </li><li>Makes independent decisions within a general framework and work within agreed upon timelines and budgets. </li><li>Keeps project engineer and project manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services. </li><li>Responsible for small to moderately difficult projects from inception to completion. </li><li>Has some communication with clients. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned. </li><li>Relocation is available </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university, plus appropriate continuing education. </li><li>1 year minimum of design experience. </li><li>Has proficient knowledge of hydrology, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. </li><li>Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
