<p>General Information</p> <p>The Project Engineer Intern in the Business Unit Engine Controls is responsible for supporting the Project Management and Electrical Engineering departments for ENC products in development and production.</p> <p>This intern is expected to be physically present in the Auburn Hills, MI Office. They will be working with a team who would be in the office the majority of the time. Remote work would be accommodated occasionally.</p> <p>Your Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support project management organization with project organization, reporting, project planning and potentially project workshops and presentation preparation. </li><li>Support Analysis and Design work related to electronic circuits, components and products. </li><li>Help manage the planning, execution, and delivery of prototype electronic products to customers and internal activities from the manufacturing teams. </li><li>Plan and organize test preparation activities. </li><li>Coordinate repair activities with technicians. </li><li>Create internal orders for financial tracking of project topics. </li><li>Measure and track product cost reduction implementation projects and the financial effects. </li><li>Support laboratory and engineering testing and validation testing of products </li><li>Support change management tracking activities on the project. </li><li>Collect, organize, and report Key departmental metrics and Key Process Indicators (KPI) </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs. </li></ul> <p>The Project Engineer intern should have interest in working in a Research and Development organization. They should have good organization and presentation skills and a strong ability for self organization and a passion to learn.</p> <p>Your Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preference is Electrical Engineering) </li><li>Capable of intermediate / advanced Office Software usage (MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project). </li></ul> <p>External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Interest in leading or organizing Research and Development tasks. </li><li>Enjoy the financial planning elements of engineering and how engineering tasks fit into the larger picture of a manufacturing business. </li><li>Enjoy looking for better ways of performing project organization, tracking and reporting. </li></ul>
